Objective

Formål

Der kan søges støtte til fælles projekter med fokus på forskningssamarbejde på tværs af OUH og Rigshospitalet (RH). Formålet er at fremme fælles forskning inden for de specialer, der allerede har eller forventes at få et tæt samarbejde om patienterne.

The OUH PhD Fund

Objective

The OUH PhD Fund may finance one year of a PhD stipend of a maximum of DKK 584.000 kr. Up to 12 PhD stipends may be funded each year.

Please note that the PhD Fund of The Region of Southern Denmark has two annual calls, the next application deadline is 1 February 2022.

The OUH Fund for Pre-graduate Stipends

Objective

The aim of the OUH research strategy is to strengthen the research of the hospital and consequently OUH offers funding of pre-graduate stipends. All disciplines of research may be considered. It is expected that a total of DKK 960,000 equalling 16 stipends will be funded in 2022.

The OUH Research Competition

Call for 2021 Application deadline Assessment meeting

Objective

OUH wants to strenthen the utilisation of research at OUH. Consequently, the board of managers organises an annual competition with funding for research projects about new ways of treatment, services or ways to improve work procedures.

A total of DKK 1M has been set aside for the following themes:

  • 3D-print
    3D printed equipment, implants, educational material and alike have the potential to improve patient treatment and can potentially lead to financial benefits. Research and/or implementation projects concerning this technology are called upon.
     
  • Cross-sectoral patient courses
    Research and/or implementation projects that focus on the good cross-sectoral patient course both in terms of admittance to OUH and the patient’s transition to the municipalities are called upon.
     
  • In-efficient treatments
    Research and/or implementation projects that focus on uncovering and replacement of potential in-efficient treatments as described in OUH/KI Research Strategy 2021-2025 are called upon.
    Researchers with a combined employment between OUH and SDU may participate in the Research Competion and apply for employment and buy out of researchers and co-finansing of research projects.

Ansøgningsfrist
Forår 2022

Innovationspuljen er en intern pulje på 2 mio. kr., som uddeles hvert år til innovationsprojekter på hospitalet.

Formål

Puljen blev etableret i 2015 for at styrke det strategiske arbejde med innovation gennem økonomisk støtte til udvalgte projekter og initiativer på OUH's kliniske afdelinger.

Puljen råder over 2 mio. kr. og uddeles til innovationsprojekter, som er i tråd med OUH's innovationsstrategi.

OUH's Innovationsråd har ansvaret for at indsamle og behandle ansøgninger til innovationspuljen i samarbejde med bedømmere fra OUH's kliniske afdelinger og forskningsenheder.

Projekter, der opnår midler fra puljen, præsenterer deres (foreløbige) resultater på det kommende års Innovationsdag og afrapporterer resultater til Innovationsrådet ved projektets afslutning.

I 2020 afsatte OUH desuden midler til en særlig innovationspulje med fokus på projekter, der kunne gøre det lettere at være patient eller personale i forbindelse med covid-19-pandemien. Denne pulje var på 2 mio. kr. og blev uddelt til fire projekter.

Elite Research Centre at OUH

Calls for Elite Research Centres are expected every third year, the last call being in January 2020.

Objective

OUH and the Department of Clinical Research at the University of Southern Denmark establishes Elite Research Centres as a means of becoming leading at national and international level within clinical research.

Frontline Centres at OUH

Objective

OUH wishes to develop the foundation for attracting more and new highly specialised services (HSF) which must be underpinned by research. A Frontline centre underpins research in one or more HSF or development functions. The centres are cross-disciplinary and involve researchers and clinicians from no less than three departments.

Overlægerådets Forskningsfond

The OUH Internationalisation Fund 

Running application deadline

Objective

OUH strives to increase collaboration with hospitals and researchers abroad with the aim of increasing the rate of development as well as the volume and quality of research to the benefit of treatment of patients. Consequently, the OUH Internationalisation Fund is established with an annual budget of app. 5 m DKK.

It is possible to apply for one of four different categories:

a) International research stays for clinicians and researchers including pre-graduate and PhD students
b) Affiliation of international adjunct associate professors and adjunct professors
c) Visits from international researchers and clinicians
d) Other purposes to further collaboration with international hospitals and researchers including activitites in Denmark with an international scope (provisional while restrictions on travel activities due to Covid-19)
Please note that expenses for courses, conferences, seminars, etc. cannot be funded by the OUH Internationalisation Fund.

Deficit guarantee for planning of international conferences and congresses

Objective

OUH wants to underline the importance of attracting more Danish and international scientific conferences to Southern Denmark and has decided to dedicate DKK 1 m a year for a deficit warranty for scientific conferences and congresses. The guarantee is for a maximum of 20 percent of the budget for the event.

Supplementary maternity refund for PhD students and postdocs

Coverage of additional expenditure by long-term illness of PhD students and postdocs

If PhD students and postdocs experience protracted illness, it is possible to apply for coverage of the difference between the salary and the reimbursement for illness.
