If you have started an application in efond in one application round, but decided to submit via a later round, and want to proceed with the application already created in efond, please contact ouh.intpuljen@rsyd.dk. The secretariat may be able to move your application to the subsequent round.
Significant changes from previous call
- Running application deadline is replaced with fixed application deadlines app. once a month, see above.
- Applications must be submitted via efond, see each category of the call.
- The call now consists of sub-categories a), b), and c); i.e. the previous category ”Other purposes” is no longer available.
- If an application is incomplete, supplemental information from the applicant will no longer be collected and the application will be rejected. The applicant may submit a new application for a subsequent application deadline.
- If the full annual budget of the fund is spent before the end of the year, subsequent application deadlines of that year will be suspended and be announced at the website of the fund:
Overall objective
The Region of Southern Denmark and OUH strive to increase collaboration with hospitals and researchers abroad. The aim is to increase development, volume and quality of research as well as introducing new clinical methods to the benefit of treatment of patients. To achieve this goal, the OUH Internationalisation Fund is established in order to strengthen and develop the following for OUH and employees affiliated to OUH:
- Participation in international research networks.
- New diagnostic and treatment methods including, for example, prevention, assessment, diagnosis, care, follow-up, rehabilitation, and palliation as well as innovative technologies.
- Opportunities for attracting and retain the best research talents.
- Opportunities for establishing additional elite research centres.
With the fund, OUH is able to co-finance:
- International research stays and stays for learning new clinical methods.
- Affiliation of international adjunct associate professors and adjunct professors to OUH/SDU.
- Short Stays at OUH - Visits from international researchers.
The OUH Internationalisation Fund applies for all disciplines of research and all medical specialties.
Treatment is to be regarded in the broadest sense possible. It includes, for example, prevention, assessment, diagnosis, care, follow-up, rehabilitation, and palliation.
The OUH Internationalisation Fund can be applied within the below mentioned three different categories. For each category, requirements, eligible costs, etc., are listed separately, see links below. The abovementioned overall objective of the fund applies for all three categories. Please note that the OUH Internationalisation Fund cannot cover expenses for seminars, conferences and courses abroad.
- a) International research stays for clinicians and researchers including pre-graduate and PhD students.
- b) Affiliation of international adjunct associate professors and adjunct professors.
- c) Short Stays at OUH - visits from international researchers.
A total of DKK 5 m from the OUH Internationalisation Fund is available every year.
