Meetings and Events
PREmedico organizes up to three annual meetings for knowledge exchange and collaboration
The network meets up to three times a year. Meetings are held physically, virtually or in hybrid form, depending on the purpose and activity.
Events are planned in collaboration between representatives from OUH, SDU and OPEN and serve as a platform for presenting research findings, discussing implementation, and developing new collaborations.

The Danish Medicines Council develops recommendations for Denmark’s regions on which medicines should be adopted as standard treatments in hospitals.
Although the Council does not make decisions regarding the treatment of individual patients, its work often involves evaluating medicines intended for very small patient populations, sometimes as few as 0–5 patients in clinical practice. In such cases, the assessments overlap with the field of personalized medicine.
This presentation provided an overview of the Danish Medicines Council’s approach to evaluating new medicines and illustrated how these assessments were conducted, particularly in the context of very rare diseases.
The session focused on the overall benefit assessment that forms the basis of the Council’s recommendations.
This event explored how innovative technologies are advancing personalised medicine and how they can be integrated into healthcare through clinical implementation and research collaborations.
Representatives from PentaBase and Amplexa Genetics presented their work and shared insights into the development and application of technologies that support more precise diagnostics and treatment. PentaBase showcased its PCR technologies for the stratification and monitoring of cancer mutations and epigenetic changes, while Amplexa Genetics highlighted its laboratory-based technologies and diagnostic tests designed to enable more targeted diagnostics and treatment.
The presentations focused on the practical implementation of personalised medicine, demonstrating how these solutions can support existing hospital workflows and foster new collaborations between the healthcare sector and industry.
The event concluded with a Q&A session and discussion, giving participants the opportunity to engage with the speakers and reflect on the opportunities and challenges of implementing personalised medicine in clinical practice.
